APARTMENT STEMS
I had dinner guests over right after I moved and wanted to get fresh flowers at the farmers market for the windowsill. Until I realized that I couldn't afford to spend $10 on flowers that would die in just a few days! So, instead, I decided to make my own little herb garden of potted plants that would be aesthetically pleasing, useful, and last all summer! I bought sage, rosemary, and basil for 3/$8 and these sweet tin pots for $1.50 each. Not too hefty of an investment! And the best part is that I've been able to use them all summer and admire their beautiful leaves every time I walk out of the kitchen into our living room. Fresh flowers are nice, but don't feel like you have to conform! I got so many compliments about our mini herb garden so it definitely added the fresh accent I was hoping for!
